But It's Alright

Westside is one of the stores that I visit now and then, and I love how they have been trying to keep up with the latest trends. I was rather surprised the first time I spotted an international print. (It was quite long back, not very clear on what the product was) And since then they have only improvised in terms of introducing new styles and materials and prints. And who wouldn't want to indulge in such a perfect shopping experience where you find some of fine trendy numbers without spending big bucks. So yeah, the price factor at Westside, very affordable and reasonable, is one of the reason I do take a walk in the store maybe once in a month. And guess what! They have launched two new in house brands, one range satisfying the stylish needs of the women belonging to the curvy clan, and the other one gives you pretty lingerie made with the best of the materials that are very moderately priced. I was invited to the store to take a look at the collection, and no disappointments ladies, no disappointments.

Westside's new range of funky, curvy women's wear, "Sassy Soda" that caters to young curvy women who wish to wear tres-mode outfits. Sassy Soda has some beautiful graphic prints, pretty polkas, florals in some of the prettiest color combinations, and some staples like basic vests, denim shirts, denim shorts etc. Sassy Soda let's you flaunt every curve you've got. Fun prints, cool silhouettes, colours that pop and all the latest trends in plus-size that leaves the curvy lot with no complaints, as sometimes it does get a little difficult to find trendy things in a various sizes.

Take a look at the Sassy Soda collection.

You know one of those days, when you are feeling blue? Well, you know what helps? For me, lounging around in my prettiest lingerie set with some good food and music works the best! You don't need no one when you have these! Haha. ^.^
So here is a solution to finding some elegant pieces without having to cry the next day about the empty wallet. "WunderLove" has some of the beautiful colors and prints. And no cheating with the fabric as well, yes! WunderLove, Westside's first in-house stylish and affordable lingerie brand is here, that fits perfectly with every mood and wardrobe piece. They also have a wide range of daily Essentials comprising of everyday must-haves. Gorgeous sets that let you explore your fun, playful side. I really had to try my best to control this unruly urge of picking everything from the tempting collection full of alluring and elegant separates, pants with adorable prints and much more.

Do visit the nearest Westside to see these gorgeous new brands. :)

Habits Of My Heart

“And there were always those nights where she preferred the rain over people. Because the rain would remind her of how she should feel and people would remind her of the things she always wanted to forget.” – R.M Drake

Sitting at my place, cloud gazing from the balcony.
Yet again the beautiful weather here in my city, Bangalore, manages to touch me deep down. Blame it on the weather that all I talk about these days, is Love and Music. Staring at the rain pour down from the sky, almost every second day, evokes only deep thoughts and I wish how it would be waking up in the middle of nowhere with nothing but nature white noise around.

Apt for this pleasant breezy weather, paired this cute polka dotted skort with a basic round neck white T shirt and my new cardigan. Those who keep visiting regularly know how my heart goes out to every black, white and grey number. The backpack and the shoes add a subtle pastel touch to this look. Received this classic watch from Daniel Wellington, just around my birthday, in the first week of September. A perfect birthday gift I would say. And I am in love with this beauty. The simple and quintessential design of this watch, the classic rose gold round frame and the belt, all of it makes it a perfect piece. It sure is my new companion. :)

Stay

Obscure. Lost. Unpredictable. Dreamer. Romantic.
A few words that I can relate with. There is this queer parallel universe that I float in, completely controlled and programmed by my mind. Mind that manages to completely suppress my heart's say. Well, during one of those good days, the heart does get the joy of breaking the leash and then life for a while goes a little haywire. I forget the duties, the work load, the image that I think I have to live up to, and it is much fun. I laugh, get happy high, give and take love, stop caring about tomorrow and become indifferent to what's happening around. And right in the middle of this crazy ass life party hosted my fragile heart, there is a knock on the door, and guess who it is! The Commander. Mind. And the party gets busted. Back to the usual controlled disciplined me. And then I can hear my heart sob somewhere in a corner, waiting to break free again!

No! All this isn't from a movie. I wrote my heart out, almost. Yes, that's my heart talking. Err. My Mind I mean.

I am not much into movies. Being from India, where everyday life gets inspired from Bollywood and vice versa, it might not be a very sweet and safe thing to say but until and unless there in nothing extraordinary about a movie, I find it an absolute waste of time. But then the publicity and promotions before a release, they reach out to someone as oblivious as me. One of the a few Bollywood movies that managed to catch my attention was Finding Fanny. Frankly, haven't got time off work to go for the movie but then I was keeping an eye over the release and who-wore-what-where to the movie related promotional events. Plot revolving in and around Goa, and the pretty dresses that Deepika dons in the movie, and the movie being directed by one of the well known directors of the industry, are precisely the reasons I would like to watch this flick.

So here is an outfit that shows my exact emotions right now and links up everything I blabbered. How I would want to be amidst the nature, waking up with messy hair, putting on that little white dress, and cover myself with a jacket when it gets cold and there is no one around. Free and Lost. Ain't no Commander, and only my heart.
That bag that would hold the only belongings I have, wearing my heart on my sleeve. (Umm, neck in the case.)
And well, the boots, these are freaking amazing, aren't' they!

Also, somebody please take me for Finding Fanny! ^.^

Sweet Surprises

Yes! The Nike Dunks are here again! And you will be seeing them for quite sometime now, it goes with everything I wear! (I know, I know! I say the same about almost every new addition in my wardrobe.)
And finally I am wearing a Midi Skirt. Lately it has all been about skirts, skirts and skirts. And Black, White and Grey. Must say, it is so much fun to look back and see the gradual evolution in your style and choices! So much fun! I don't really want to go into details right now, but sometimes while going through some old pictures, I am like what was I even thinking while creating this look!

Okay, I need to stop writing now, it is freaking late here and I need to chill with my dear photographer and the bestest friend who is in town, which of course you guys know via the Insta and Twitter feeds. You can only imagine what it feels like to see this person after 4 years, the person who has always been by your side through the thick and thin! The weekend was crazy, extended Birthday weekend, crazier than I imagined and planned, full of sweet surprises, my oldest friend arriving on my birthday being the sweetest one! :)

There, I made up for not being able to spend much time with you Shaggy, haha. ^.^

So, I was invited to the Max Fashion India to come take a look at their Autumn Winter Collection 2014. And I must say, I love how they keep improvising each time. I remember mentioning this in the last collaboration post with them, that how each time they manage to please me, and offer something better in terms of trends, fabrics and prints. Their Autumn Winter Collection, specially the Runway Collection is pretty good, with a lot Graphic prints and Greys and Blacks and Florals with some Lace and Sheer Fabrics. Here is what I picked from the collection, and I like how the monochrome looks so well with Floral Print. This Lace sleeve Jumper here is super comfy, can be paired with denims, pants, skirts, almost every bottom wear. I chose this Striped Midi skirt from Bossini to go along with the jumper. The dunks here add a very easy going touch to the look. School satchels are something that I have been obsessed for quite a while now, and it couldn't be better than a floral print. The earrings add a bit of femininity to the outfit.
