Nautica Holiday Colection 2013 :
Nautica has sailed its way back from the open seas bringing different notes of color and styles from around the world for their Men's Holiday Sportswear 2013 collection.
| Nautica Men’s Sportswear Holiday 2013 Collection
Bangalore, November, 2013
The Nautica Men’s Sportswear Holiday 2013 Collection is inspired by the fisherman clans of the coastal waters; a heritage rich in the art of craft and the history of storytelling. Centered around the idea of the iconic Fisherman’s sweater, which was worn for warmth and protection, the Holiday line consists of soft, cozy fabrics, deep, vivid hues and slimmer silhouettes that will keep you looking great and feeling warm all winter long.
“We are inspired by the rich storytelling of the traditional fisherman cable knit sweater for holiday,” said Creative Director, Chris Cox. “Nautica has always been about heritage and this season we look to the long standing tradition and craft of the fisherman cable knit.” Holiday launches with the Coastal Isles delivery. Saturated navys, greens, and reds make up the palette, offset by whites and brighter blues. Fisherman sweaters are abundant with a variety of silhouettes and colors - crew neck styles, cardigans, turtlenecks, and mock necks, available in a range of hues from Classic Navy to Oatmeal Heather, and Deep Sea Red to Dark Green, among others. Designed in cotton and wool as well as elevated fabrics, like merino wool, and cashmere blends, the sweaters have staple Nautica detailing, with toggles and shawl collars lining the cardigans, and buttons adorning the mock necks. Fairisle prints make a big statement this delivery as well. Appearing in all-over printed sweaters, zip mock necks, button mock necks and shawl collars, the traditional print is the perfect winter go-to and reminds you to bundle up. Shirts are ideal for layering this season, but can also stand on their own. Cozy flannel plaids, preppy gingham and paisley prints, and traditional tartan plaid shirts are great when paired with the 8 wale corduroy pant, available in black, khaki, navy and burgundy. The outerwear is versatile and can be worn many ways, with the herringbone blazer that can be dressed up or dressed down, the 3-in-1 hooded parka that can be worn in 3 different ways, and the down quilted vests, that can complete the outfit on its own or be layered under a jacket.
The Arctic Seas delivery keeps it casual, yet still classic and cozy during the colder months. Deep colors of Autumn Berry and Shaded Spruce are interspersed with whites and navys. Traditional henleys and plaid shirts work well under brightly colored quilted vests. Denim is white, and is offered in a carpenter style. There are pigment printed twill pants in black, green, and navy that pair nicely with striped and solid cardigans, while polos are colorblocked and designed with traditional fairisle prints.
Brighten up your look with the North Shore delivery. Grounded in various shades of blue, with pops of Orange Surf, Papaya and Bright White, vibrant color is key. Pieced henleys, colorblock pieced hoodies, and multicolored striped crew neck tees are the statement pieces. Bottoms feature the Broken Twill Pant and the Cotton Slub Denim Pant. Swim trunks are printed with diamond patterns, paisleys, and scenic palms. To escape the winter blues and enjoy a nice getaway, Waikiki, the resort delivery, offers a refreshing break from the dark hues and heavier fabrics worn throughout winter. Crisp, bright pastels, fun, beachy prints, and soft fabrics permeate throughout. Wovens are both long and short and come in mini palm prints, exploded floral prints, linen solids, and seersucker ginghams. Shorts are available in cargo styles, striped chambray, as well as stamped with mini palm trees, while swim trunks are colorblocked, printed with pineapples, coral and flowers, and come in a seersucker check.
Trade winds gears you up for Springtime, with a range of cool blues grounded in white. Wovens are microprinted throughout – micro dots, micro sail prints, micro plaids as well as stripes. Swim trunks come in tile prints, ombre stripes and wave prints, to ensure that you continue to daydream about the water and the warmer months ahead.
The collection is priced between 1,800 - 12,000.
