I Will Wait

There is a lot going on with me lately and somehow managing the blog and my college work gets on my nerves, quite often. And very much reflects in my behavior. Well, I cannot complain because this is something that I love doing. THIS keeps me going.

And while talking about this, Collaboration is something that is one of the few things that comes in my head.
It's always great to receive beautiful products from these lovely brands and people around who very much look forward to how I would execute the task.

Needless to say, I try my best. But sometimes thinking about the time crunch, I wonder if I could do better if I had more time on my hands for everything.
Well, I have been thinking about my weak points and flaws that I need to work on. And I will end the serious discussion here with the promise of improving on them. Because I know that will  make me even more content with I do. :)

Another collaboration, with Stylholic, has been a pleasant one.
I must mention that the people at Stylholic are really adorable, and receiving the package was the best part.  A note with a personal message was a delightful surprise! It really was!
Their Style Team picked up this beauteous Floral Print Blazer along with this uber-chic Skort.
Talking about the products, the material used for the blazer is so comfortable and soft! I couldn't stop admiring it! I still can't. Being a Textile Student, I tend to stare at fabrics for a long while, feeling it up and figuring out the material and weaves etc. Yeah, I sure sound like some 'Fabric-Stalker', if that was a mental disorder! :P
The skort is certainly one of the most trendiest things around. And I am so glad to own one now!

I didn't want to keep the look very monotonous, with a tube/crop top, and stick with something usual. So, while creating the look and going through the piles of fabrics in my house, I decided to try something new with fabric draping.
And voila! I managed to make a fitted cut out top! Though pinning it up and tucking it in everywhere possible to hold it, was one messy process!

Would love to know what you think of the look!

I would like to thank the staff at Cafe Mondo, HSR Layout for allowing me to shoot in the pretty cafe and also for being so supportive. :)

For 'Funky Dori' : Part I

I have told you guys about this brand called 'Funky Dori' here before.
Funky Dori has a very splendid collection of bright and beautiful jewelries. The collection has very pretty Earrings, Neck pieces, Rings, Bracelets and Pendants and a lot more that can brighten up your ensemble!

And now taking you to the pictures, I received a few beautiful jewelries from Funky Dori, a few days back. I am totally in love with the pieces, specially this neckpiece here.
Was so excited that I styled all the jewelries and finished the shoot in like 3 hours, thanks to my photographer for being so co-operative! ^^

Here I am wearing this beautiful Drama Neckpiece with a Navy Blue top and have wrapped around this gorgeous brocade fabric with Barouqe-ish motifs as a high waist skirt. I used this fabric for making a garment last semester And now this reminds me, I still have to put up a post about it. :D
And in footwear, I am wearing my black suede wedges, which completes the look.

Enjoy the pictures now! :)

Blah! My life is an emotional roller coaster!

Okay, too much blabbering! Lets skip talking about my personal issues, and go to the styling part! ^_^

The Sexy Affair

Helen (Helen Richardson Khan), a very fine actress and the most popular Item girl of her times, also called the 'Queen of Nautch Girls' has always been a pleasure to watch. There has been no item girl in Bollywood till date who could be better than her, at least that is what I think! Sensuous, Bubbly, Loud and yet Elegant, so was her persona.

I did a shoot which was 'Helen' inspired, for my friend Debjyoti Das (As I have mentioned earlier, find him here - http://whatiamandwhatido.blogspot.in/).
We did this shoot at my place, using this wall as a backdrop, where I have these LP Records stuck on the wall. And that was like perfect to add a peck of Retroism, along with the Guitar in the Background.
We used this shiny Sequinned fabric (borrowed from a friend) and draped it over another Sequinned dress of mine. And did a 70s inspired Hair do, used a Ear loop as Nose Ring (That hurt a lot, seriously) to show connections with the typical Indian Nautch. Also teamed it up with a huge Blingy finger Ring and this beautiful Tiara. (Was really happy to finally wear it and get clicked. :P)
We used no other jewels on the body apart from the above mentioned, to keep the look very sophisticated and minimal.
I stood barefoot, to emphasize the Sensuous element.
